Secure message delivery
ReferralNet is a secure message delivery application (SMD) that enables healthcare providers to send and receive sensitive patient information with other providers on the ReferralNet network or an interoperable network. ReferralNet enables the information produced by one system to be securely sent, encrypted and received into the recipient system so that the information can be viewed and actioned.
Send almost any file type
ReferralNet users can send and receive almost any file type including reports, referrals, pathology results, radiology results, discharge summaries, letters, images and more, enabling seamless information flow and continuity of care.
Subscription required
You are required to hold a ReferralNet subscription regardless of whether you choose to only receive messages or only send messages.
Per-document billing
Forms are sent via SMD (Secure Message Delivery). Secure Messages are charged for both sent documents and documents received by ReferralNet. However, users are only charged per document exchanged, not for the number of pages in each document.
Included in your package
ReferralNet packages include a specified number of messages. Each message is counted by both sending and receiving. The type, size, or number of pages of each message does not affect this allocation.
Additional usage
Additional usage fees apply if you exceed the messages included in your package.
